Topic – Mata Lalleshwari Illumination (A speech contest)

After having a week long talk session on Mata Lalleshwari and her life including her teachings and Vaakhs from revered scholars and historians; a contest ‘Lalla Illumination’ was announced, in the month of September, giving all a chance to learn more about life of Mata Lalleshwari and speak about it.
Contestant#1 Kusum Warikoo
Judges say – We appreciate your zeal and passion to keep Lalleshwari’s teachings alive. Loved the artistic presentation of joining the words of the Vaak with elaboration. Overall an interesting presentation that we loved to hear.

Judges say – Well done for participating and sharing your views and thoughts on Lal and her mystical poetry. It would have made it more interesting if typical Kashmiri words could have been used in place of Urdu words. Material and techinicalities of the language were all upto the mark.
